Everyone is unique and has specific needs for their programme, depending on their posture/structure and individual goals. 

One of only three New Zealand-based C.H.E.K. Practitioners with both a Level 3 C.H.E.K. Practitioner and Level 3 CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach qualification, Michelle’s assessments are both proven and comprehensive – to identify the cause – not treat the effect – to help people to achieve their true potential.

It is this high-calibre level of services and ability to look at the ‘whole’ picture that sets Michelle apart from other high performance trainers, practitioners, or personal trainers.

Assessment includes the use of a plumb-line to look at the distortions within the body that could be causing pain and discomfort. Then a series of muscle length/tension tests will identify what muscles are too weak and need strengthening; which ones are too tight and need stretching, what joints need mobilising, etc. This detailed assessment provides the information necessary to move forward and develop a highly skilled, individual programme.

Postural & Orthopaedic Assessment

Postural & Orthopaedic Assessment is a big-picture look at your physical structure and its distortion or shifting from what we call “neutral” or optimal body position. During a postural assessment we will discuss the following:

  • Your pain and discomfort, and what you have previously done about it
  • Other practitioners you have seen and what has worked / not worked
  • What you are currently doing exercise-wise, including any sporting requirements
  • Your goals, time and commitment levels
  • Your overall health and abilities

This will be followed by a full measure up to assess muscular imbalances and postural challenges to enable us to develop a programme unique to your body and needs. The full postural assessment takes approximately 2 hours.

A written report is also available (if required) as an additional charge.

Holistic Lifestyle Coaching Assessment

Just because you are not sick, does not mean you are well! This assessment will help you to understand why every meal, every bout of exercise and every late night has a hormonal consequence. You will be given the necessary tools to assess yourself (or your clients) and allow you to determine the level of readiness for change. The Holistic Lifestyle Coaching assessment covers the following:

  • – An in-depth questionnaire to assess a holistic view of your overall lifestyle
  • – Guiding you to understand the body as a “system of systems.”
  • – Simplistic realistic education to get you back on track better than ever before.
  • – Explaining how you can build a strong foundation of health
  • – Help you to increase vitality, decrease stress
    – Help you to sculpt the body of your dreams

This assessment will show you the underlying causes of disease and stress, and teach you how disease and stress are preventable through healthy eating habits, lifestyle management and appropriate types of exercise. This is not a quick fix but a lifestyle change!
